Akademiska Hus sells part of property in Gothenburg to Chalmersfastigheter
Monday, 2 October 2017The buildings at Chalmersplatsen 4 include about 3,400 square metres of space and are part of the Johanneberg 31:9 property. The central administration building, known as the CA building, is the main entrance to Chalmers where the management and Vice-Chancellor offices of the centre of education are housed.
“Chalmersfastigheter has expressed a strong desire to own the entrance building and the premises where the management and Vice-Chancellor offices are located for some time. We feel it is important to be able to meet that desire,” says Birgitta van Dalen, market area director, Akademiska Hus.
“At the beginning of the year discussions resumed about the possibility of Chalmersfastigheter AB acquiring the CA building from Akademiska Hus. We are extremely pleased that as a result of our good collaborative relationship with Akademiska Hus we will be able to implement this deal since the building and the site are of great value to us and Chalmers University of Technology,” says Nicklas Arfvidsson, CEO, Chalmersfastigheter.
Chalmersfastigheter AB will assume possession on 2 October 2017.
