Akademiska Hus hires market area director

Åsa Henninge will take over as market area director of Akademiska Hus South on 15 August 2019 and will be based in Gothenburg. She has a degree in engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and prior to working as CEO of Wästbygg Projektutveckling, her experience included working as business area manager and in various managerial positions at Svefa for 17 years.
South is one of the three market areas at Akademiska Hus and includes Gothenburg, Borås, Karlstad, Skövde, Lund, Malmö, Alnarp and Kristianstad. Åsa Henninge’s duties will include leading and running campus and business development for the company at these college and university towns and cities.
“Market area South is undergoing a phase of strong development in which we are working with customers to create new environments for education, research and innovation that will make these higher education institutions more attractive. With her solid experience in leadership, as well as in operational and business development, Åsa is just the right person for the job,” says Kerstin Lindberg Göransson, president of Akademiska Hus.
Åsa Henninge will be part of corporate management at Akademiska Hus and will be directly subordinate to the president. Henninge succeeds Birgitta van Dalen, who will now provide expertise at the management level with responsibility for the initiative that Akademiska Hus is undertaking together with its customers to develop the learning environments of the future.
