Ny projektdirektör till Akademiska Hus

Akademiska Hus has recruited Ali Ranji to serve as its new project director. Ali, who will be included in the company’s management group, most recently worked at Fabege as head of production, neighbourhoods. He also has extensive experience from managerial positions at other companies, such as Vasakronan and CO-Pilot Bygg & Projektledning.

“We are extremely pleased with the recruitment of Ali. I am convinced that he will be able to contribute with his experience of proactively working to achieve strong and positive customer relationships. Ali also has extensive experience and solid ideas about collaborating with management, development, letting and operation, which will be helpful as we now deepen the collaboration between our line units,” says Caroline Arehult, CEO of Akademiska Hus.

Akademiska Hus has set high climate targets and will be climate-neutral throughout the value chain by 2035. To achieve this goal the company promotes more efficient use of the existing property portfolio and does not consider new construction to be the first choice. As part of sustainability work at Akademiska Hus, the company is increasing its focus on circular processes through methods such as recycling materials with a high climate impact. In cases where Akademiska Hus is involved with new construction projects, the company requires them to obtain Miljöbyggnad certification at the Gold level and all major renovation projects must be certified at the Silver level.

“It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I take on this exciting role. With its size and role in society, Akademiska Hus has a great responsibility to take the lead and show the way to climate-smart construction and management. This journey has already begun with a clear vision and I am convinced that Akademiska Hus will achieve its goal with all of the outstanding expertise in this company,” says Ali Ranji.

With a property value of SEK 118 billion, Akademiska Hus is one of Sweden’s largest property companies, which together with colleges and universities, strives to strengthen Sweden as a nation of knowledge by building, developing and managing sustainable environments for education, research and innovation. The company is owned by the Swedish State and approximately 320,000 people work, study and carry out research every day in buildings that are managed by Akademiska Hus.

Ali Ranji will assume the new position on 1 November 2022.
