New Board members join Akademiska Hus Board of Directors

Två nya ledamöter i Akademiska Hus styrelse.

Today, Friday 26 April, Akademiska Hus held its Annual General Meeting. Johan Kuylenstierna and Kent Waltersson were elected to serve as new members of the Board of Directors. The dividend to the owner was approved in the amount of SEK 2,218 million, which is in line with the owner’s objective.

At the Annual General Meeting, Lena Erixon was re-elected as chairperson of the Akademiska Hus Board of Directors. Mariette Hilmersson, Mariell Juhlin, Erik Mattsson, Christer Nerlich and Håkan Stenström were re-elected as Board members.

Two new Board members

The general meeting also elected two new Board members. Johan Kuylenstierna, born 1965, is Director General at Formas. His previous positions include CEO of the Stockholm Environment Institute, Project Director at Stockholm International Water Institute, and several positions with the United Nations. Johan also has extensive experience from previous board positions, including at the University of Gothenburg, Sveaskog and the World Wide Fund for Nature.

Kent Waltersson, born 1967, is Vice-Chancellor’s Adviser at Linköping University. He has previously served as university director and head and research director at the Centre for Municipality Studies at Linköping University, as well as several senior positions in state and local government. Kent is also a Board member at Stockholm University of the Arts and AB Stångåstaden, as well as chairman of the election committee for the Municipality of Linköping.

Decision regarding dividend

The Meeting approved the dividend of SEK 2,218 million. The dividend is based on the financial objectives that the state decided for Akademiska Hus. According to the economic target for the dividend, it should be between 40 and 70 per cent of the profit for the year after tax, after reversal of changes in value and with related deferred tax. This year’s dividend is 70 per cent of adjusted earnings.
