About Cassiopeia

To meet the need for student housing that exists in Lund, Akademiska Hus plans to build about 300 student apartments with space for 640 students and researchers. By dividing the area into two larger blocks, good conditions are created for housing with the opportunity for flexibility and variation where different needs for housing types can be met.

Cassiopeia is located at the intersection of Kunskapsstråket at LTH and the Idea Walk, which stretches from Ideon to the green area that forms the Science Park to the west.

Within the property and the surrounding area, there is currently a high flow of pedestrians and cyclists. The new tramway's two stations are located within 500 m of the neighbourhood and stops for express buses to Malmö are located in the immediate area.

The two courtyards will be a safe and green oasis for the residents, and the public streets will become the area's natural meeting place for students, workers and passers-by in the area. With a carefully designed outdoor environment, a human scale and detail is added that is currently lacking in the area. Clear public corridors, safe residential environments with courtyards create life on campus at all hours of the day.
