BMC/Rosendal
Area and properties
BMC is one of the largest buildings in Akademiska Hus' property portfolio, designed to be flexible and adaptable for both research and teaching. The building was constructed between 1966 and 1985 and has been continuously developed, including an extension for SciLifeLab.
Located within walking distance of the University Hospital, Uppsala Science Park, and the Ångström Laboratory, BMC is situated at the heart of a strong knowledge and research cluster. South of BMC, the Rosendal district is rapidly emerging, with new student housing being built by Akademiska Hus. A new high-capacity public transport system with a stop at BMC is also planned, further improving accessibility. BMC is becoming increasingly integrated into the growing urban life, reinforcing its role as a central part of Uppsala University's campus and research environment.
