At the intersection of Valhallavägen and Lidingövägen, a new campus for Kungliga Musikhögskolan has been standing since the summer of 2016. Using historic buildings as a starting point, the new structures complement and enhance the old ones. The new school is centrally located and easily accessible for students, staff, and visitors alike.

The area and properties

The new premises of KMH are situated in the old stable facilities, including the courtyard and entrance area at the gable of the stable building facing Valhallavägen. The stable building, a listed building since 1993, features a welcoming glass facade and houses, among other things, a large concert hall.

The new facilities have been carefully adapted to preserve and reuse parts of the historic building, including the stable and riding hall. The former stable has now been transformed into a library, while the riding hall has been converted into an impressive organ hall. The new buildings are designed with extensive use of glass, which reflects and highlights the brick architecture of the existing structures. This architectural solution makes KMH and the historic building more visible and accessible to the public.

Do you want to report a fault in your house? You can easily report errors and track your case in the My Campus app or on our website.
If you have an urgent error report, you can reach us 24 hours a day on 020-552 000.

When you report a fault, it is good if you have the following information:

• Institution name or visiting address of the building
• Room number, is often indicated on the door frame.
• Name and telephone number of contact person for feedback or feedback during the course of the work.

Restaurant Oktav is housed in the main building on the entrance floor. Breakfast, lunch, small dishes and coffee are served here.

There are also plenty of external cafes and restaurants in KMH's surroundings.

Parking information in Stockholm

From 1 January 2026, Smart Parkering AB will be responsible for parking at Akademiska Hus parking areas in Stockholm. Parking is managed digitally via the SmartPark app or text message. Employees can purchase digital parking permits with a reduced rate via a code provided by their own business. Visitors and students park by purchasing a ticket per hour or day in the app or via text message.

Frequently asked questions and answers

When does the transition take place?

The digital parking permits will be valid from January 1, 2026 and can be purchased from December 1, 2025. Physical permits are valid during a transition period until January 31, 2026 and will then expire.

How much does it cost to park?

The following prices apply from 1 January 2026 at Akademiska Hus parking spaces in Stockholm:

Visitors and students: 25 SEK per hour (one-time parking), regardless of time of purchase.
Employees of Akademiska Hus customers: 70 SEK for ground parking (does not apply to garages) at a reduced rate. Valid 24 hours a day and every day of the week.
Monthly subscription: Price varies depending on parking area and is shown in the SmartPark app.

How do employees get a reduced rate?

Digital parking permits are purchased via Smart Parkering using a code provided by the respective business. The code is only valid for employees of Akademiska Hus customers.
