A Working Lab THINGS is an already established meeting place for startups and companies in deep tech, located in the middle of KTH Campus in Stockholm. On May 9, the reopening was celebrated!
In the flexible lounge, a packed program was presented for an hour. Everyone involved in making AWL THINGS a unique place was represented, from successful companies that started in the house and are still based on the site, to THINGS founders but also property owners and of course AWL representatives.
Common to all was the feeling they have for the house and the appreciation of the spontaneous meetings that take place on the site:
"THINGS is perfect for us" said João de Campos Salvado from Ocado and Chunxin Liu, Nobula3D, continued: "as we want to grow our business, we need a unique place like this. It's close to KTH and a makerspace, good price and close to the city, all this together makes it perfect for us".
Karoly Szipka from Ipercept, who has been sitting in several different spaces during her growth journey, said with a twinkle in her eye that "we move out or take over the place!"
The keynote speaker was John Elvesjö, one of the founders of Node.vc, he talked about his career journey, which started at KTH Campus, and the importance of having access to a place like AWL THINGS. He also discussed the challenges you may have as a startup company and solutions to them.
We are also very happy that Linda Krondahl, CEO and co-founder of THINGS, had the opportunity to participate. With a background as both a management consultant and from running a cleantech startup, she has experienced all steps in the startup journey, from idea to development and production.
Welcome!
