Campus Johanneberg - Chalmers

AWL Johanneberg offers a unique place where business, society and academia can meet and collaborate across skills and professional boundaries. We offer varied office space, common meeting rooms, modern conference rooms and tailor-made services for companies that want to work in the heart of one of Sweden's leading clusters for the built environment. All members get free access to wifi, coffee and printers. You also become part of our community and can take part in the events that are organized in the premises. You also have access to a gym, bicycle room and changing room, and on the ground floor you can eat well at restaurant Waste.

The environments work just like a regular office, but also offer something extra, such as unexpected meetings and inspiration. All A Working Labs are located on or adjacent to the university campus, which makes it easier for researchers, students, business and society to meet. We encourage all members to take advantage of the opportunity for collaboration and development of the common workplace. Suggestions for activities and initiatives that inspire people to do things together with others are welcome.

A Working Lab Johanneberg has meeting rooms for the really big event, but also the smallest meeting for two – and everything in between (2-120 people). All rooms offer varied furnishings and are equipped with wifi, digital screens, video solutions for different systems, speakers, whiteboards, etc.

Here you will be part of a place where business, society and academia meet and where some of Sweden's foremost innovations in the built environment are created. A Working Lab consists of a total of 2000 m² divided into a coworking environment, a Learning Lab, and conference and meeting rooms. In addition, there are a variety of collaboration partners, actors and offers in the area. As part of A Working Lab, you will be part of both a local and national community, with opportunities to work on other campuses where we are located.

As a member of AWL Johanneberg in Gothenburg, you automatically also get access to all AWL's environments in Stockholm, Solna and Umeå.

There is a node for public transport near A Working Lab at the Chalmers stop, and three bus stops at Gibraltargatan/Eklandagatan: the Engdahlsgatan stop, the Bergssprängaregatan stop and the Pilbågsgatan stop.

A Working Lab is located at Chalmers campus in the Johanneberg district in central Gothenburg. You are in direct proximity to Chalmers where around 2000 researchers and 10,000 students work and study. Around 80 companies and organisations also work in the area. You are offered a creative and developing environment with access to meeting places, networking activities as well as conferences and services.
