Corson at Campus Valla

The development of the outdoor environment at Campus Valla focuses on modernising Corson and creating new meeting places. The project aims to promote sustainability, strengthen the area's identity and create a greener, more inclusive environment. Entrance areas and Corson will be revamped to be more inviting, functional and dynamic.

About Corson

The transformation of the outdoor environment at Campus Valla, with a particular focus on Corson, is a project that aims to strengthen the area's identity and function. The work is taking place in stages and includes, among other things, the modernisation of Corson and the creation of new, attractive meeting places and more bicycle parking. The project aims to promote sustainable mobility and contribute to a greener, more inclusive and inspiring campus environment. By prioritising both aesthetic and functional improvements, the area will become more inviting for both students and staff.

The entrance areas will be developed with well-thought-out design solutions that combine functionality and aesthetics. The goal is to create smaller, secluded areas for rest and fellowship while giving Corson a more vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.

The outdoor environment of the future at Campus Valla

The project places great emphasis on creating an outdoor environment that promotes social encounters and recreation in harmony with the campus's everyday life. By integrating green elements and clear design principles, the work aims to strengthen the area's attraction and accessibility. A balance between functionality and aesthetics ensures that the environment is not only practical but also inspiring for everyone who spends time on campus.

Art that inspires and strengthens the community

A central part of the project is to integrate art as an important component of the campus environment. Art should not only function as decoration, but also as a catalyst for reflection, conversation and creativity. By placing artworks in strategic locations along Corson, an aesthetic dimension is created that reinforces the area's identity, making it more vibrant and inspiring, so that the artworks can serve as gathering points, spark discussions, or simply offer a visual break from everyday life.

In addition, art is an important part of the sustainable development of the campus. By using materials that are sustainable and environmentally friendly, art contributes to strengthening the vision of a future-oriented, green and inclusive environment. The goal is for art to not only adorn the campus, but also become an integral part of its soul – something that students, staff and visitors can feel proud of.
