Campus Valla is located on the outskirts of Linköping's central parts. At the city center area you will find nice walking paths, art, nature reserves, stables and lush green areas. We also have a number of companies and authorities in place that want to conduct their activities in research-related environments. The proximity to shops, cafés, restaurants, golf course, gym, sports hall and athletics hall means that you will find something that interests you!
The area and properties
Throughout the campus runs a pedestrian and bicycle path called Corson. When the university was built in the early 1970s, the aim was to centralize all activities with Corson as the natural artery.
The campus's closest neighbors are the district of Vallastaden, the business park Linköping Science Park (Mjärdevi), student housing, and a golf course. Just a stone's throw away is the open-air museum Gamla Linköping with its historical setting.
Together, these factors make Campus Valla an exciting and dynamic place where ideas can be brought from concept to reality. Since 2024, Campus Valla in Linköping has had its very own Solblomma – a clear symbol of the sustainability transition we are driving at Akademiska Hus. With around 1,600 units installed worldwide, Solblomman stands as a symbol of both innovation and sustainability – designed and manufactured in Austria, but ready to make an impact wherever it takes root.
