Albano

On the Albano campus there is a varied selection of shops, restaurants and services that make it a vibrant and pleasant environment for students, researchers and visitors. Here you can find, among other things:

• Proviant Albano : Restaurant located in building 2, floor 4 that serves well-prepared and sustainable food in many different forms. Visit them for lunch, coffee, bar hanging or book a party in their fantastic premises. During the warm days of the year, you can take your meal outside and enjoy the view from their fantastic terrace. Lunch is served between 11:00 - 14:00.
• Café located in Building 2, floor 2, right under the Albano stairs, where you will find freshly baked bread, salads, coffee and a selection adapted to the rhythm of the day.
• The Coffice Albano : In building 3 you will find a café and workplace that offers fresh food, wraps, salads and other goodies for you.
• Press Office : Located on Albanovägen, it offers typical services such as newspapers, drinks and light snacks.
   

You can easily get to the Albano campus by bike, walking, several bus lines or the metro.

Buses from Stockholm Lines 639, 676 and 696 only stop for boarding at Albano. Line 50 from Odenplan and Line 670 from the Institute of Technology stop for both boarding and alighting at the Albano campus.

Buses towards Stockholm Lines 639, 676 and 696 only stop for getting off at Albano. Line 50 towards Odenplan and Line 670 towards the Institute of Technology stop for both getting on and getting off at the Albano campus.

The red line of the metro stops at the University Stop, from where it is about a 10-minute walk to the Albano campus.

Cycle

You can easily park your bike in one of the many bike racks located around the area.

Bicycle garage

Between Houses 1 and 2 in Albano there is a bicycle garage with 450 spaces where you have the opportunity to rent space for your bicycle. Access is via the Parakey mobile app. You will receive a digital key that is linked to you personally for access to the bicycle garage.

The Albanogarage

The car park in Albano has a total of approximately 340 parking spaces.
Of which parking spaces for the disabled: 10
Of which charging points: approx. 50
• Opening hours 06:00 – 22:00
• Between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, only those who have purchased a ticket have access to the garage.
• Exit operates 24 hours a day.
• Visitors purchase tickets via the Aimo park mobile app.
• Electric charging is done via the Mer Connect Sweden mobile app.
Current prices and rates are shown in each app.

Parking for the disabled

• There are 6 parking spaces along Albanovägen.
• There is 1 parking space along Fakultetsgränd.
• There are 2 parking spaces along Ruddamsvägen.
• There are 2 parking spaces along Hannes Alfvéns väg.
• 1 parking space is available at 8 of 9 buildings on Roslagstullsbacken.

Pickup locations

Designated pick-up locations are located along Albanovägen.

All parking spaces are marked on the campus map .

Parking fee Parking fee for cars etc. is paid through the Aimopark app, there is no parking meter at Albano.

Albano Hus 3 meets the requirements for Miljöbyggnad Gold.

Albano Houses 1, 2 and 4 meet the requirements for Environmental Building Silver. 

Miljöbyggnad is a certification system for creating environmentally sustainable buildings. It is based on Swedish building and authority regulations as well as Swedish construction practice. Environmental building is a certificate of important qualities of a building in terms of energy, indoor environment and materials and is used for newly produced and existing buildings regardless of size. In Environmental Construction, a building can achieve the bronze, silver or gold rating. Behind the certification stands the non-profit association Sweden Green Building Council (SGBC).

Being a tenant in a certified building means a responsibility in the use of the premises and the building to create the smallest possible environmental impact. In order for the property to be able to maintain the certification, it is important that you as a tenant know what applies. This house guide contains information about how the building works and tips on what you as a tenant can influence.

Heat

To reduce energy use when heating the building, systems are used that convert heat from the sun, the building also has a thermostat that regulates that the temperature is kept at an even and optimal level.

To think about as a tenant

The radiators are set to, together with the ventilation, ensure a good climate in the rooms. It is therefore important not to add extra heat, it can destroy the system. Contact us if you experience discomfort.

Energy

The building is supplied for the most part with renewable energy, this in the form of solar energy, wind/hydropower and waste heat from industries.

Electrochromic glasses

The building's windows are so-called Electrochromic glass that reduces the use of cooling energy by blocking unwanted solar heat radiation before it enters the building, which keeps the premises cool and contributes to a pleasant indoor climate that is adapted to the season.

Solar heat loads

In order to determine that the solar radiation does not add an unwanted amount of heat during the warmer part of the year, sun screens are installed.

Moisture safety

The building has adequate protection against moisture, through roof drainage and facade materials that ensure that moisture cannot penetrate into the property.

To think about as a tenant

If you, as a tenant, suspect or experience problems with infiltration or moisture, you must make a fault report to Akademiska Hus.

Sound

There may be disturbing sounds or sounds that can damage hearing. In teaching premises, there are requirements from the Swedish Work Environment Authority which noise levels must not be exceeded. When talking about teaching premises, the noise from installations etc should not exceed 35 dba, for offices it is 40 dba.

• Step sound insulation
• Block out outside noise

The business's own sounds, such as from computers, printers, etc., are not taken into account. Sounds from installations can be heard if you listen for this, it is noticeable when the ventilation shuts off in the evenings.

It is important that you file a bug report if you experience sound-related problems.

Light

A good lighting environment is important both for health and performance. Light is important for the regulation of circadian rhythm, sleep and wakefulness rhythm, mood regulation and activation. There are recommended guideline values for illuminance for general lighting and spot lighting for various premises/work functions. There are also requirements for access to daylight in homes and premises.

The building has presence-controlled lighting that is regulated in different ways depending on the function of the room, this also has a positive effect on the building's energy consumption.
