Forced ventilation on the shooting range
During an ongoing lesson, the shooting range's ventilation must be increased. This is done manually via a timer placed on the wall and the air flow is then forced for a set time.
Privacy protection
In the self-protection hall there are curtains for light shielding and privacy protection. These are controlled manually via push buttons placed in the hall's storage.
Generally
The lighting in the building's premises is generally controlled via presence sensors. This means that the lighting is automatically switched on when there is presence and switched off when no one is in the room.
The shooting range and room for laser shooting
The lighting in these rooms is controlled manually via spring-loaded push buttons. Switch on and off with a short button press and light control with a long button press.
Weapons care room
The lighting in the students' armory room is switched on and off automatically via presence sensors.
Blue flash light
On the shooting range and in the self-defense hall, blue flashing light can be activated to visualize the police work environment. The flash light is started manually via a push button placed on the wall.
There are evacuation plans that show evacuation routes, deployed firefighting equipment and assembly points. The escape routes are marked with green escape signs. Escape routes and stairwells must be kept clear and must not contain flammable material .
Escape doors
Green emergency handles may only be used for emergency evacuation as the alarm is activated when passing.
Automatic fire alarm
There are smoke detectors in the building which automatically trigger a fire alarm in case of fire smoke. The signal to evacuate is given on a floor-by-floor basis via a fire alarm and in some premises in combination with a red flashing light
Fire cells
The buildings are divided into a number of fire cells to prevent fire and smoke from spreading. Doors in fire cell boundaries must absolutely not be blocked by wedges or the like.
Smoke detectors shooting range
During a lesson in progress, smoke detectors must be disconnected in order not to trigger a false fire alarm. Switching off takes place manually via a timer on the wall marked "Timer for switching off the fire alarm in the shooting range". Set the desired time via the plus and minus buttons. The return button activates disconnection all day.
When the fire alarm is switched off, the sign "Smoke detector connected" goes out.
Parking
For vehicles with a handicap permit, there is a designated space at the building next door, Alfred Nobels allé 12.
Entrances and lifts
The building's entrances are accessible and all floors can be reached by lift.
Security alarm in RWC and rest room
Toilets adapted for the disabled, so-called RWC, are on floors 1 and 2. Rest rooms are on floor 2.
In the RWC and rest room there are security alarms with red push buttons. Alarms are indicated locally by sound and a red flashing light outside each room. It is important that you who see and hear this alarm contact the person concerned who needs help, as the alarm is not forwarded.
Alarms are reset inside each room by pressing the green reset button.
RWC with shower
On floor 2 there is a RWC equipped with a shower
The building has two elevators named L1 and L2. Elevator L1 is a passenger elevator that runs between floors 1 and 3. Elevator L2 is an elevator that is only for transporting goods to and from the goods reception.
Access card is required to use the lift.
Elevators in case of fire
The lifts must not be used in case of fire.
In the event of a fire, the elevators go to the entrance floor level 2, drop off any passengers and are blocked for further travel. In the event of a fire on the entrance floor, the elevators are directed to an alternative evacuation floor.
Emergency signal lifts
If an elevator stops between floors, the emergency signal button must be pressed for at least 15 seconds. Outside noisy elevator, an alarm signal sounds and emergency alarm with voice communication goes to manned elevator call 24 hours a day
Car parking
Parking takes place in public parking areas within the university campus. Parking space for vehicles with a handicap permit is outside the main entrance Alfred Nobels allé 12.
Bicycle parking
Bicycle racks for parking bicycles can be found along Alfred Nobel avenue.
The building consists of three floors. On floor 1 there are the training premises for practice (shooting ranges) and equipment (weapons care) as well as installation spaces and a connecting passage to the adjacent building ANA 12. Floor 2 is the entrance floor with the main entrance from Alfred Nobels allé 14, the training premises for self-protection, changing rooms, practice garage, goods reception and waste room . On level 3 are changing rooms and installation spaces.
