In order to obtain good air quality in the premises, the ventilation is planned according to the number of people and the equipment planned for the rooms/premises. On very hot summer days, the internal temperature is allowed to rise.

For heating, radiators are used and the temperature is regulated via a thermostat on the radiator.

Activation and deactivation of cooling in offices

Office rooms have a room regulator placed by the door and on/next to some regulators there is an on and off button for cooling. You activate this function when you need to cool the room.

Regulating cooling in the office

The normal temperature can be influenced via the room controller when the cooling function is activated. Turning the regulator towards plus reduces the cold and turning it towards minus increases the cold.

Public premises

Public spaces such as stairwells and corridors are automatically controlled via time channel.
In addition to daytime, the lighting is switched on manually via push buttons and switched off again after a preset time.

Office

In offices, the lighting is turned on and off manually via push buttons inside the door.

Computer rooms, classrooms

The lighting in some computer and study rooms is activated via a push button labeled "activation lighting" inside the door. It acts as a main power switch. The lighting can then be switched on and off via standard switches, placed next to the door or panel.

Waste disposal

Source sorting of waste takes place on each business plan. Waste rooms with fractions for plastic, tin, batteries and cartons/corrugated cardboard can be found at Osquars backe 2, level 2 and Lindtstedsvägen 9, level 3.

Evacuation alarm in case of fire

Parts of the building are equipped with evacuation alarms which mainly consist of smoke detectors. In the event of fire smoke, these trigger an evacuation alarm in the relevant area and the signal to evacuate is given via a bell or siren.

In the event of a fire, call 112.
Also call KTH's emergency number extension 7700.

You can manually trigger the alarm yourself with the help of deployed push buttons. Limit the source of the fire by closing windows and doors.

Of course, no two fires are the same and it depends on the circumstances how you should act in each individual case. Still, learn the basic rule:

SAFE – WARN – ALARM – EXTINGUISH

- Save yourself and others in your vicinity, but don't take too many risks yourself
- Warn others who may be in danger
- Alert the emergency services by calling 112
- Extinguish the fire if possible
