Continued construction at KBC Odlinghuset

Details

Fysiologihuset (J0008007), KBC, Kemiskt-/biologiskt centrum (J0008025)

Work will continue for the next two weeks high and low.

At the bottom of level 2 we finally continue to reinforce the foundation after a little problems after we were surprised by several sewer and stormwater pipes that were not as expected. It will be completed during the next week, (week 25).

We still have work to do on floor 3. The pillars closest to the climate chambers need be made in two parts and joined together in place. This is done during week 25.

A plumber is investigating where we can turn off heating and gas to place pillars closest exterior wall to the east on both floors 3 and 4. Any disruptions in gas are coordinated with Jan Karlsson on Fys bot and communicated that way out to the affected personnel. We count with shorter stops.

Pouring of columns on floors 3 and 4 is carried out in week 26. This means that we cast with a small amount of easy-flowing concrete during each pillar. Then cleaning is carried out and restoration of surfaces.

The steel assembly on floor 5 will be completed at the beginning of week 25. Regarding the steel assembly, I was incorrectly informed that it would happen without impact drilling but I later understood that this was not the case and that it probably has sounded quite a lot in Odlingshuset when steel beams have been attached to the concrete structure. I apologize for this misunderstanding.

After Midsummer week 26 we start assembling roof sheet and it is also ongoing during week 27. The installation of the sheet metal will rattle but the indoor disturbance will be quite limited.

Week 28-31 the site will be closed for summer during week 28-31. We from Academiska Hus and the building team wishes everyone a nice summer!
