General information
The Land-Water-Environment Center (MVM) on Campus Ultuna was built as part of the goal of co-locating related activities. The building houses the Department of Energy & Technology, the Department of Land & Environment, the Department of Water & Environment and part of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Science.
Already in the planning stage for MVM, it was taken into account that university activities develop and change over time. Therefore, Akademiska Hus and SLU searched together for local solutions that are flexible enough to be adapted over time. The office part of the building was already prepared from the beginning for expansion upwards with an additional floor. In addition, many of the office walls consist of removable system walls, which makes them possible to move for increased flexibility. In the laboratory part, the installations contribute to making it easier to rearrange the surfaces when necessary.
MVM offers a stimulating work environment with all the prerequisites for successful research, teaching and ongoing environmental analysis. By bringing together several nearby institutions, new conditions have been created for inspiring meetings and collaborations.
