Campus Umeå University

AWL Universum Umeå, with its location right in the heart of the university campus, is a natural meeting place for everyone who spends time on campus. There are private offices, flexible workplaces and meeting rooms as well as event space. All members get free access to wifi, coffee and printers. As part of A Working Lab, you will also become part of both a local and national community.

The environments work just like a regular office, but also offer something extra, such as unexpected meetings and inspiration. All A Working Labs are located on or adjacent to the university campus, which makes it easier for researchers, students, business and society to meet. We encourage all members to take advantage of the opportunity for collaboration and development of the common workplace. Suggestions for activities and initiatives that inspire people to do things together with others are welcome.

There are several meeting rooms for both the large and the slightly smaller meeting or event. There is a large event room, the Rotunda with room for up to 300 people and several smaller modern meeting rooms fully equipped for your meeting.

As a member of AWL UNIVERSUM, you automatically also get access to all AWL's environments in Solna, Stockholm and Gothenburg.

Together with partners, events and seminars are arranged. As part of A Working Lab, you are part of both a local and national community.

Campus Umeå is located about two kilometres from Umeå's city centre. AWL Universum is centrally located on campus within walking distance of public transport stops. It is easy to both cycle and travel by bus to and from campus.

Campus Umeå is home to the majority of Umeå University's research and education activities, where almost 40,000 students and 2000 researchers spend time daily. SLU Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences is also located here. Adjacent to the campus there are several sports facilities, student housing and other activities. The neighbour is Umeå Hospital. On and around the campus there are also various service activities such as cafés, restaurants and the like.
