Room climate

The indoor climate is controlled automatically via the building's technical system. In the form of ventilation and radiator systems.

Ventilation

The ventilation normally runs during the day and evening. In all rooms, the air flow increases/decreases via temperature and air quality. In some cases, it is controlled with regard to presence in the room, so it can take a while before the climate is good in the room after being empty for a long time. In some rooms/premises there is a push button to force ventilation.

Keep in mind that:
A manual change of the temperature can take
up to one working day depending on the building
thermal inertia.

Keep in mind that:
An open window at extremely high outdoor temperatures makes it even more so
temperature rise occurs and there is a risk of dew precipitation on cold surfaces.

Main entrances, adapted for people in wheelchairs

In front of the main entrances, the surface is hardened and the slope is adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Elevator

A total of two (2) person lifts are available in the building. Lifts in the building can travel to all floors. Free passage through the entrance is at least 84 cm. The lift has:

RWC

There is access to RWC in the building. The toilet has:

• Free passage dimension greater than 84 cm
• Reference sign on door
• Pull handle on the inside of the door
• Working alarm
• Folding armrests at the toilet seat
• Bright and clear lighting

Lighting
The building's lighting system is predominantly performed presence-controlled.
Active ignition and passive extinguishing in case of absence

Lighting in labs and workshops is switched on and off actively with push buttons/switches.

Some fixtures in escape routes are connected to uninterruptible power such as led/emergency lighting and
turns on automatically in the event of a power failure.
Classrooms
Classrooms strive to have an active ignition by pressing a button. Switching off may also require a button press, but if the lamp does not switch off, it is set to switch off when there is no one in the room. The switch-off takes place on absence, in some cases switch-off is required on the button with.

Fire alarm

• The signal to evacuate in case of fire is given via bell i
  whole house.
• The fire alarm is activated by smoke detectors and goes off
  directly to the Rescue Service and Akademiska Hus
  operations department.
• The fire alarm system controls fire door closing,
  elevators and opening of smoke hatches.
• The elevators cannot be used when the fire alarm is activated.
• You can activate the fire alarm yourself via red
  alarm push buttons. These are located in corridors
  and escape stairwells.

Evacuation

• The escape routes are clearly described on the escape plans that are placed in each corridor.
• You can always reach two independent escape routes.
• Evacuation must take place through corridors and stairwells via the ground level into the open air.
• Escape routes are marked with bright green escape signs. The signs are always lit and have a battery backup to illuminate even in the event of a power cut.
• Escape routes must not be blocked.

Gathering place

In the event of a triggered fire alarm, all persons must leave the building and gather at the assembly point. There you report to the evacuation leader to facilitate the work of the Rescue Service. Only then can you leave the meeting place. The gathering place at Svens Hultins gata 6
