Opening of the infodesk on campus!

On April 13th from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm we will inaugurate a new infodesk on campus, connected to Framtidens campus Luleå. Here you will have the opportunity to learn more about the project and what is coming up. Representatives from Luleå University of Technology and Akademiska Hus will be on hand to answer questions. Coffee and snacks will be served.Location: Next to Service Point

Road closures in connection with the Future Campus LuleåAs of May 1, 2026, Geogränd will be closed and groundworks will begin. The work includes, among other things, the closure of sewage pipes. Dialogue is ongoing with the affected businesses regarding the implementation.On June 1, 2026, the thoroughfare on Laboratorievägen will be permanently closed to public traffic. The closure is a prerequisite for Akademiska Hus to be able to carry out earthworks, reroute underground pipes and construct new technical infrastructure and new buildings in the area. Evacuation project E-houseV15:Design of stage 2 in the E-house continues. Coordination continues regarding the relocation of machinery in the E-house (central workshop and craft workshop). Sandbäckens is dismantling lighting fixtures in the craft workshop and installing new fixtures.V16:Design of stage 2 in the E-house continues. Material deliveries are planned for the end of the week. Sandbäckens is moving the control cabinet that is mounted in the traverse path.

House BetaThe stairs up to the library will be closed on April 9–10 (week 15). Directions are via Building B, entrance B8. The closure is due to the replacement of lighting fixtures.In Betahuset, lighting is also being replaced in the former library café and in the transition between building B and Betahuset.

House ARenovation of all toilets in Alfhuset will begin on April 7 and continue until June 5. The work will start on the top floor (A500) and then continue downwards. Each floor will be completed before work continues on the next. The estimated time required is approximately three weeks per floor, which corresponds to a total of approximately nine weeks.In the A1000 corridor and in the culvert between building A and building B, replacement of fixtures is underway. Door replacement is underway between Kideus and the 98 section (A1500 corridor).

Outdoor environmentParkkompaniet has begun work on removing ice from wells in the ground in connection with the expected warmer weather. Overhangs of snow and ice at entrances are blocked off when necessary.

Lighting replacement is underway in the light garden, the area is closed until 15/1 at 16:00.Any emergency evacuation from adjacent areas will operate as usual.
