The background to the Keep Zero security push is to send a strong and unison signal within the industry. By highlighting good examples of the exchange of experience and collaboration, Akademiska Hus, together with Håll Nollan, wants to show that collaboration across borders provides safer workplaces.
- A safe working environment on our construction sites is the most important thing we can work with. Through our membership in Keep Zero and this type of event, we constantly raise the issue on the agenda so that we can work actively together with our contractors and partners," says Ali Ranji, Project Director at Akademiska Hus.
The Safety Push, which is being arranged for the fourth year in a row, is a complement to the other safety days that exist in the industry. By seeing each other and communicating with each other across organizational boundaries, the push contributes to the work environment and safety becoming a natural part of the daily work. The safety push reminds us that everyone, regardless of role, can make a difference. Through industry collaboration and exchange of experience, we can reduce workplace accidents together.
- There are far too many workplace accidents every year and many of them are so serious that they lead to medical disability or sick leave for more than 30 days. This means that our work for safer construction is far from finished and we hope that the safety push further contributes to us becoming even better together," says Ulrika Dolietis, CEO of Håll Nollan.
Akademiska Hus is one of the founders of Keep Zero has participated in the security push every year since it was introduced in 2020. The Keep Zero safety push will be implemented on most of our construction and civil engineering projects across the country in slightly different ways.
About Keep A Zero
Everyone at our construction and civil engineering sites comes home unharmed after each working day, the vision shared by Håll Nollan's approximately 100 members. Keep Zero was started in 2017 by the association Samverkan för noll accidentor i byggbranschen (Collaboration for Zero Accidents in the Construction Industry) with the ambition to engage the entire chain in a construction and civil engineering project. By learning from each other, we change cultures, set tougher demands, educate and raise public opinion for zero accidents in the construction industry.
