Year-end Report 2022: Uncertain operating environment but stable results

Akademiska Hus increased its profit before changes in value and tax for 2022 compared with the previous year. The improvement is mainly due to an increased operating surplus, which is partly a result of commissioning. At the end of the year, the company's estimated property value amounted to just over SEK 115 billion, compared with SEK 112 billion the year before.

"2022 has been a turbulent year in many ways. Russia's invasion of Ukraine changed the geopolitical landscape in a short period of time, and the year has been characterized by rising inflation, rising interest rates and electricity prices at a record high. Despite the circumstances, we have managed to adapt to new conditions to continue to deliver value to our customers and our owners and to develop our campuses. We have a constant focus on our basic delivery so that the climate, function and experience in our premises are the best. The fact that we also have a unique financing base means that we have a really strong platform to stand on, which feels extra important when the challenges for us as a real estate company are greater than ever," says Caroline Arehult, CEO of Akademiska Hus.
